Dutch mini pancakes “miniature Dutch pancakes” or Poffertjes, as it is known in Holland are a traditional Dutch batter treat. Resembling small, fluffy pancakes, they are made with yeast and buckwheat flour. Unlike American pancakes, they have a light, spongy texture. Dutch mini pancakes are eaten as a casual snack in Holland we prefer to eat them with powdered sugar and butter. We sell our fresh and handmade Dutch mini pancakes only in our temporary Dutch stands directly from our plates were the cook prepares them freshly for you. They are sold in portions containing 12 or 24 of them on a small cardboard or porcelain plate and come with a small disposable fork the size of a pastry fork. Dutch mini pancakes are served with powdered sugar and butter, the butter comes traditionally on top of the warm Dutch mini pancakes so it melts, yummy!
